We offer a variety of flat fee, hourly fee, and sliding fee services. Payment can be made by cash, check, money order, or credit card.
Flat Fees. Flat fees are available for uncontested divorces, estate planning, and unbundled services. Flat fee services require full payment in advance.
Hourly Fees. Because it is impossible to estimate the time or energy required to complete a complex or contested matter, most clients are charged an hourly fee for legal services. An advance retainer payment is required in all hourly matters. The amount of retainer required will vary depending on the case.
Sliding Fee Scale. To fulfill our firm’s commitment to providing services to individuals at poverty level or the working poor, Lewis Kannegieter & Wright, LLC accepts a limited number of cases on a sliding fee scale. To qualify for a sliding fee, you must submit an application. A retainer payment will still be required for sliding fee clients. Our firm can only accept pro bono clients through a legal aid organization. If you are interested in obtaining pro bono representation, please contact your local legal aid agency.
